Don’t waste your money with them. I purchased a few thing from them their UK website and when I wrote about poor quality of their non stick ceramic pan, no response after many email reminders. I escalated this to Swiss HQ, yet no one replied. Shame on you for cheating customers and providing non existing customer service.
Garbage products. Got them @ jumbo. Supposedly made from high quality but actually made in China. Shameful display. They really pretend that it’s German or Swiss made, but even that doesn’t mean a lot anymore if it’s not actually made by a German.
Kuhn Rikon pots and pans are high-quality, durable, and absolutely convincing in everyday use. The workmanship, materials, and cooking results are top-notch – you can really feel the brand's experience and quality. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the scale. While the idea of the dynamo and hand crank is meant to be sustainable, in practice it's very cumbersome and not very practical for everyday use. The tare function is particularly problematic: it's almost impossible to zero the scale correctly. This makes weighing unnecessarily complicated and inaccurate.
The ceramic pan lost its non-stick properties after 6 months and warped. Because of the warping, the oil unfortunately runs to the edges, causing everything to stick. The pan was only ever hand-washed. After sending it in for repair, I was told this is perfectly normal. Poor quality compared to, for example, Fessler.
I ordered the children's kitchen products for my granddaughter. Fantastic! The colored paring knives for my kitchen are also great; there's nothing better. Kuhn Rikon is simply excellent. The delivery was incredibly fast, and I was especially pleased with the recipe booklet by Meta Hiltebrand.
Very friendly and courteous service, but every time I visit the factory shop I'm increasingly disappointed with the brand (much of the items in my kitchen are from Kuhn Rikon). A huge amount is made in China (I have the feeling this is getting more and more common). Once, when I was being served a coated frying pan, the employee immediately pointed me to the Chinese product (otherwise, the service was top-notch). This gave me the impression that the margins on Chinese products are better, and that the staff are therefore instructed to sell more of these products. More and more, I miss the professional pride Kuhn Rikon takes in being able to manufacture and sell their own pans.
