Terrible experience with Bexio, avoid. I really wanted to use and like it, but then i had a taste of how they handle customers and I will gladly use anything else, no matter how good they might be. I received a sales call after signing up for a trial. I was told certain features were there, I just need to add my bank account info. I was offered amazing discounts in order to sign a 1 year contract right there on the call, which I did. By the time I could test the whole thing, the trial had expired. The sticker is, the feature i was promised was actually an upsell, and BECAUSE I DID NOT ASK IF IT COSTS EXTRA, they did not tell me. By the time i found out, the 30 day trial expired. I politely asked Bexio to cancel anyway, but with many emails and phone calls they insisted that i signed the contract and I have to pay and it doesn't matter. Legally they are right, but its no way to run a business - just trying to get people to sign contracts and then extract money from unhappy people. I explained that this is unhealthy business practice, but they would rather get a few hundred francs from an unsatisfied potential customer than create a fan base of happy customers. Great product but even greater customer engagement follow up. Only after using our trial period, there was a direct follow up with the Manager but also a very good email sequence to help you to go through your accounting "pains". As a small business owner, I have found it extremely efficient, great customer service and a great human touch. Well done!
Being customer for more than a year, I’ve encountered several usability and technical issues, but my recent experience exposed the most critical flaw in their system so far causing complete data loss that directly damaged my company’s financial records. Originally I had a pending cancellation, but after consulting with my accountant, decided to continue using Bexio on a monthly plan until the end of the financial year. The Bexio user interface clearly confirmed that the plan would switch to monthly and that my subscription would continue. However, behind the scenes, a manual cancellation remained completely out of sync with what was shown for the user in the UI. As a result, on the expected subscription renewal date, all my data was deleted without any warning. I've been talking almost a week now with customer service on phone and email and handling of severe urgent security issue like this has been very slow. I was told I would need to pay CHF 400 to recover my own data: data loss that occurred due to a bug in Bexio’s internal system. This is unacceptable not only from a customer experience perspective, but also raises serious trust and compliance concerns. Businesses rely on accounting platforms to ensure continuity and legal record retention. A bug like this combined with poor customer service unable to act on urgent matters like data loss can have serious financial and legal consequences for your company. If your company relies on stable, compliant access to financial records, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Also paid Bexio payroll can be replaced completely with free AbaSalary. EDIT: After posting this, I was contacted by a more service-oriented customer service agent Eugene from Bexio, and finally got my data back, thank you!
We have been using Bexio for 4 years now and are very satisfied. The software covers all essential functions for small businesses and is easy to use. The tutorials are well-made and help with getting started and solving specific tasks. Whenever we had questions, the support team or responded quickly and competently. Overall, a reliable and efficient solution for daily business administration.
Better avoided - will try to get you to subscribe by omitting information and upselling all sorts of random packages and services. Very unprofessional
We had a very bad experience with bexio. they could not solve working with multiple currencies and their support was very hard to reach and not helpful. it cost us many months and we had to do everything again with another software. when we forgot to cancel the renewal they were not in any way service oriented and tried to blame us and although we could never use their product they want 2 years of payments. good luck with this attitude towards your customers, I would not recommend to work with this kind of company.
