Today, while loading an excavator that had been working on my neighbors' property, my private land was contaminated with oil. The driver of the truck or excavator was very unfriendly and provocative; it's easy for two other men to argue with one person. The contractors had clear instructions from the client. Why this excavator was allowed to be loaded on my property instead of at the construction site is beyond me. They claimed it was coolant, but then tried to wipe the oil away with a rag and claimed they had used de-icing agents from the fire department – which is clearly not true. There had already been a discussion with the driver of the smaller van a few days earlier; he was aware of the property boundaries. Addendum November 10, 2023: Today I had to call the police for help because the company again wanted to unload excavators on my property instead of at the construction site.
