Normally I don’t write any negative comments, but this time it is a must! Yesterday my husband and I decided to take lunch in the restaurant there spontaneously because of the nice view, after standing in the entrance for a while without seeing anybody leading us to any table , we had to take a table FOR TWO which is A BIT AWAY from windows by ourselves. Later a staff gave us menus, we even didn’t finish reading then heard a loud and very unfriendly voice:“Who let you sit here? This table is for dinner !“ This voice is from a female staff, her way of treating guests was rather than treating kindergarten children. We answered her:“ Nobody lead us to any table, so we had to choose by ourselves, and nobody said anything when they gave us menu.“ She continue her kindergarten teacher way:“ The tables beside windows are possible, any of them is possible, this is for dinner!“ Ok, then I choose a table FOR FOUR which is a bit AWAY FROM OTHER guests(Corona time). I haven’t waked there, she voice raised up again:“ NO, this is for four, you are only two, go to the table for four.“ But who said any table? From this moment we knew we must leave. This way of treating guests is impossible and arrogant. None of guests should support it! By the way my husband is Swiss and I also speak German, the whole conversation was in German. We wouldn’t visit this place anymore and don’t recommend it to any local or international guests who JUST EXCEPT A NORMAL SERVICE AND A FEW HOURS NICE TIME.
A hotel where price, service, quality... everything important is top-notch here! The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety. The four-course dinner is also delicious. The evening salad buffet offers an incredible amount of salads. All in all, fantastic! I can happily recommend this hotel and give it full stars.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of experiencing and enjoying the Solbadhotel Sigriswil as a hotel guest will definitely return! The ambiance, with beautiful rooms, superbly friendly service, and top-class, excellent cuisine, is truly impressive. As a hotel guest, you'll feel completely at home and warmly welcomed.

A very beautiful place with a stunning panorama. The bathroom is very nice and cozy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
We went to the restaurant on June 12th with friends for lunch, which included a salad buffet as a starter. We ordered three spaghetti aglio e olio and one ribeye fillet with pasta and vegetables. We then had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive. The spaghetti was inedible—far too spicy. The ribeye fillet was overcooked and tough. Instead of pasta, we received spaghetti on our plates. It was not worth the price. When we returned the spaghetti, we were told that we still had to pay for it. Unbelievable. This was our last visit to your restaurant. We had only had good experiences before. It's a shame; we can no longer recommend it under this management.
