We celebrated our civil wedding ceremony here. The four-course meal was excellent! They placed a strong emphasis on regionality and quality. The atmosphere was welcoming and the hosts incredibly kind. We wholeheartedly recommend the K Odermatt team and would choose to do it there again in a heartbeat! We also received nothing but enthusiastic feedback from our guests.
Wonderful, Welcoming, and Heartfelt On November 9, 2025, I had the pleasure of celebrating my 75th birthday at St. Klara Monastery in Stans, in the former refectory, with Markus Odermatt. Even during the preparations for the meal, Markus was incredibly attentive and took plenty of time for me. He was very accommodating and catered to my every wish. The entire dining room was decorated and set with great warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. The food, prepared with love, was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Everyone was thrilled with this menu: Savory wraps & puff pastry Stans pumpkin soup with buttermilk & rosemary Braised celery Stans whey-fed pork loin with house sauce Vegetarian: Bean and nut meatloaf with tomato sauce Spaetzle, red cabbage, and another seasonal vegetable Dessert & cheese buffet Drinks: Petite Arvine AOC Valais organic Lagein AOC Valais Premium juice Water Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, dessert, and drinks. The wonderful atmosphere created by Markus and his team was truly delightful. My 33 guests from Switzerland and Liechtenstein are still raving about it. I was treated to two wonderful meals in one week in the venerable refectory of the convent. Both times everything was perfect: the food, the ambiance, and the service! I look forward to returning in the new year and hope to see you again soon!
We enjoyed a wonderful evening with 50 people in a beautiful setting. The menu featured excellent local products. Highly recommended!
