Went skiing today in Stoos and decided to eat something small at the restaurant. The food (pumpkin soup and apple strudel) the quality of the food was excellent and the cook came and told us that pumpkin and apples came from local farmers. Super!
The sausage was good. Everything was relatively expensive. The portion of fries for 12 francs was far too small. Next time I'll go back to Stooshütte. Bigger, cheaper, and better. Sorry
We had lunch here with the ski students from the Rigi Ski School. The waitress wore ski pants with dangling suspenders. Instant coffee was available; there was no coffee machine. Bratwurst from the deep fryer with French fries cost CHF 26.50. PET bottles were served without glasses. The almond croissants were kept well chilled. The restrooms... the scent of freedom! The chairs were already stacked up for cleaning at 2:00 PM. As the head of the Swiss Rigi Ski School, I was informed that we are in Switzerland and that prices are not like in Germany! I would strongly advise you to only choose this establishment for a cold beer. Kind regards, Claudia Simmen
Buying a coffee machine (or even several cheap consumer models) would definitely entice me to come here more often! It's lovely here!
Not suitable for families, no children's menu, and therefore quite expensive for a family meal. We didn't particularly enjoy the food, and the instant coffee at the end...
Yesterday we enjoyed a fantastic raclette evening with friends. Today we had Steffi's cheesecake. A must-go on the Stoos! Very friendly hosts and simply excellent food...
