Visitamos un grupo de 6 adultos y 2 niños menores de 6 años. Nos informaron que el restaurante estaba lleno y que podría haber una mesa disponible en aproximadamente 30 minutos. Esto fue completamente comprensible y acordamos esperar. Después de pasar ese tiempo afuera a -5°C con dos niños pequeños, regresamos como se sugirió, solo para que nos dijeran nuevamente que no había mesa disponible. Esto se repitió, a pesar de que las mesas y los asientos estaban claramente visibles y la disposición de los asientos podría haber permitido algún ajuste. La cuestión no es la capacidad, sino la ausencia de cualquier intento de encontrar una solución. Ninguna flexibilidad, ninguna iniciativa y ninguna consideración hacia un grupo de pacientes con niños pequeños. Curiosamente, una mesa quedó disponible precisamente cuando decidimos irnos. Desafortunadamente, en ese momento nuestra góndola ya estaba lista para partir, por lo que, por supuesto, aún pagamos. Excelente momento. Los días ocupados son comprensibles. Lo que es más difícil de entender es una total falta de hospitalidad más allá de decir “no” varias veces. Un poco de flexibilidad y sentido común habrían cambiado esta experiencia por completo.

Bonito restaurante con magníficas vistas al lago de Lucerna, aunque sólo podemos verlo en ese momento debido a la niebla. Puedes tomar el teleférico desde Hergiswill o puedes caminar hasta el restaurante y tomar el teleférico para bajar, lo cual hicimos nosotros.

The location is amazing. You eat while you see the view of Lucerne. The food was very tasty and the staff friendly. We loved it.❤️❤️

Delicious food, gorgeous view and great service. I started with the duck liver. I’m usually not too keen on liver, but i’m glad I tried this time. Very soft and doesn’t have that usual metallic liver taste.. This dish is an absolute must. Do not leave without having tried that. I proceeded with Cordon Bleu. Although this was filling, it did not satisfy my hunger needs, hence asked for Älplermaccaronie as I was in Switzerland for only short period of time, and needed list to tick off. I find it a little bit sad how normal it is to serve Cordon Bleu with fries on the side. Fries are just fries, nothing unique, just a stomach filler. I reckon instead of fries there should be an option to have Älplermaccaroney. At last I had a Cremeschnitte.. it was good, but nothing special. I wish I studied the options a bit better. I was really full at this stage, therefore wanted something light. Honestly, great spot. Been here like 7 years ago and was looking forward to visit again. Next time i visit Switzerland, i will return to this restaurant.. for sure. The view is unreal as others have pointed out, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Thank you

Very good food, beautiful atmosphere, friendly but slow service. We were the first to sit down for lunch but were only allowed to order food after five other tables were fully serviced. That was after we told the waitress we were ready to order, which also only took <five minutes. Didn't bother me too much, just don't be in a rush if you visit here. The food was well worth it. Although I would prefer thicker fries over julienned ones.
