Sólo procesan declaraciones de impuestos de países vecinos y envían declaraciones de otros países a su oficina en Bratislava. Revisaron que mis formularios estuvieran completos y después de 2 semanas recibí el dinero.

Recientemente visité Global Blue para enviar un formulario libre de impuestos completo y reclamar parte del IVA alemán. A pesar de que el formulario estaba correctamente cumplimentado (incluido el sello de aduanas y el recibo original), mi solicitud fue rechazada. Según Ramzi Bonheime, empleado suizo de Global Blue, el reembolso fue denegado únicamente porque había escrito el nombre de mi esposa y el mío en el campo de cliente. Cuando le pregunté si había alguna posible solución o alternativa, simplemente respondió: “No”. Estoy realmente sorprendido de que un detalle tan pequeño resulte en un rechazo total del formulario, sin flexibilidad ni opciones de resolución. Esta parece ser una situación clásica en la que todos pierden: ni Global Blue recibe una tarifa de servicio ni nosotros, como clientes legítimos, recibimos el reembolso del IVA que nos corresponde. Espero que Global Blue reconsidere su enfoque en estos casos e introduzca un proceso más amigable para el cliente en el futuro.

Incluso proporciono la foto con la prueba del sello en el formulario que envío por correo desde el aeropuerto de Praga como se indica en el procedimiento (todavía en octubre). ¿Qué más debo hacer? Si su sistema de correo no funciona no es mi problema. Te escribí 6 veces. Pero aún no hay solución. Estoy extremadamente decepcionado. Muy MAL servicio.

AVOID AT ALL COST. GlobalBlue charges 35+ % of your VAT refund, for just processing the form. If that isn't enough, on top of that they charge hidden fees (transaction cost, and FX exchange rates that you could call criminal). (paid 175 EUR in VAT, got told I would get back just over 100 EUR - although I still have to receive it). Customer Service is non-existent (they reply only half of the time, but certainly don't help). Still don't have my refund (even though I followed all the right steps). There are many competitors of this company that help you at a much lower fee (just google). Also Google this company on Trustpilot, and you will reconsider using them. If your shop exclusively works with GlobalBlue, they probably get a kickback of these fees. Do tell them you will take your business elsewhere unless they work with other agencies for your VAT refund. Don''t let your money get stolen by this bunch.

Update to 3 stars: after 1 full year they transferred the money. I thought the money was gone so did not even complain but eventually it just appeared... Originally gave 1 star: For many years this used to be a rip-off but technically worked. Now it is just a rip-off. Never got refunded for my March 2020 trip to Italy and zero transparency about what the company claimed in my name... I hope they get investigated and shut down.
