From May 2021 to April 2022, I completed my advanced training as a medical and hospital secretary at SWS. I learned about the school from a colleague who spoke highly of it. Since it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, the first lessons were online. Initially, I didn't connect with my classmates and had no one to study with or exchange ideas with, which made learning a bit difficult. Nevertheless, the instructors made every effort to make the lessons as engaging as possible, answer all our questions, and provide us with the necessary materials. Later, when we resumed in-person classes, they were held at the Banana City Hotel in Winterthur. The facilities were good, and we were provided with meals. I enjoyed the in-person classes, and the instructors were even more personable. I still occasionally use the textbooks when I need to look something up. We received enough material each week, so it wasn't too much or too little. It's definitely possible to continue working and focus on further education at the same time. The school is very professional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to further their education there. Unfortunately, I've forgotten the names of my lecturers, but there were two who made a lasting impression on me.

Overall, the professional development course was a positive experience for me. The learning environment was pleasant, and the behind-the-scenes organization noticeably eased my daily life alongside work and other commitments. The modules are clearly structured, and the hybrid learning format is reliable and allows for flexible scheduling. This flexibility is a major advantage for me, which is why I can recommend the professional development course offered by SWS.
