I, a potential new customer, called to inquire about replacing the ballast on my extractor hood. The woman on the phone said the electrician would need to come and take a look. (That makes sense to me.) He would get back to me. I didn't hear anything, so I called again. Ms. Rüeggsegger answered. I asked if I'd been forgotten, since the electrician would need to call me to schedule a quick appointment to assess the situation. She immediately interrupted me: "Our employee from yesterday has no clue. She's new. We don't give quotes. It's not profitable. We only take direct orders." The monologue continued in a very curt manner. I used a pause for breath and said, "Excuse me, I never said I didn't want to hire you. I called because I need this. But you have to assess the situation on-site first, right? You don't have to speak to me so rudely. I'm being perfectly polite and I do want something from you. Of course, I'd like to know the approximate cost so I can report it to my landlord. And did I hear correctly that no one would have called me back at all?" Ms. R: "That's not usually my style. We're very busy. And yes, why don't you go to someone else?" (The tone wasn't any friendlier, and she tried to brush me off. Very incompetent! I then called AS Stuber in Utzenstorf directly. They said, quite politely, "I need to see it on-site to determine if I can even replace this ballast. It seems to be an older extractor hood. I'd be happy to come by the next business day around lunchtime." Ms. Rüeggsegger: It's wonderful that you have so many customers. I hope the company owner (I assume it's your husband??) pays for some communication training for you. You desperately need it!
We have repeatedly awarded contracts to this company since 1998, including the conversion of our former farmhouse into three apartments, all installations, and prompt payment. Two years ago, we contracted them again for a new extension with five garages, a bathroom, a four-room apartment, and a photovoltaic system. We are now completely dissatisfied. The advice regarding the photovoltaic system was very poor, and they didn't include a quote for scaffolding, apparently intending to install it using ladders. Some light switches near the front door are missing. We also had problems with the blinds and received a bill for 367 CHF for one hour of work, supposedly under warranty!
It was about installing an internet socket in a new but rather old apartment. I had to call several times and send photos. Again, no response... I called again and was finally rudely cut off by the boss... no go! They probably don't need small orders from private individuals.
