The counter staff had terrible attitudes. I don't recommend coming here. 👎 …
One of the most beautiful places, the view is absolutely stunning, overlooking the two lakes, the river, and the snow-capped peaks. It costs 25 francs per person with a hotel card, and 16 francs for children. I would definitely want to try it again.
Horrible service! The online booking for tickets to Schynige Platte didn't work - the tickets weren't delivered as advertised. The response to our inquiry was that they would refund the amount already paid and we'd have to buy new tickets at the ticket counter. No sooner said than done, shortly before the train's departure. However, the tickets we were given were not accepted by the ticket inspector upon boarding, as it turned out later, with an obviously incorrect assessment. So we ran across the tracks back to the ticket counter, where the whole process was repeated under extreme stress. And with the new tickets issued exactly the same (!), we were able to board the train at the last second. Conditions worse than in Africa! And of the three officials involved, one of the women was incompetent and opinionatedly arrogant. And on top of that, this digital online booking system is useless when using a Raiffeisen discount! Quo vadis Swiss tourism - malfunctions in the booking system, rip-off prices, and incompetence in a simple ticket inspection!
