Sulwald Stübli — Beim alten Haus 4071, 3822 Isenfluh, Switzerland

Nous nous sommes retrouvés à Sulwald par une journée qui s'est soudainement transformée en orage. Il s'avère que le changement de temps était une chose merveilleuse car il nous a envoyé dans le Sulwald Stubli. C'est un petit endroit merveilleusement cosy qui invite aux conversations amicales et aux rassemblements chaleureux. Nous nous sommes assis à une table avec des gens charmants du monde entier. Mais le meilleur était encore à venir... la nourriture délicieuse. J'ai eu l'incroyable Stubli Hot Dog et ma femme a pris le Knödel mit Boullion qui, selon elle, aurait pu être le meilleur régal de notre voyage. Le service était merveilleux et attentionné. Ne manquez pas cet endroit !

Nous avons eu un déjeuner incroyable au Sulwald Stübli ! Je sais que sur les photos, cela peut ressembler à un simple sandwich et à une soupe. En réalité, c'était un repas frais, de la ferme à la table. Je pense que c'est mon mari qui l'a mieux dit. Il a dit que c'était le meilleur sandwich au salami qu'il ait jamais mangé. N'est-ce pas? J'ai décidé d'opter pour la soupe du jour accompagnée de fromage de montagne et de pain. La meilleure décision de tous les temps ! C'était une soupe de courge jaune avec des notes de curry. C'était fantastique ! Je ne suis pas sûr du nom de ce fromage de montagne. Est-ce Sulsalp ? Tout ce que je peux dire, c'est que c'était délicieux et joliment présenté avec des fleurs sauvages parsemées sur le fromage. C'était très satisfaisant avec le pain fraîchement préparé. Un repas léger et rafraîchissant. Nous avons pensé partager la fondue au fromage, mais c'était une journée inhabituellement chaude. Un autre élément du menu qui a attiré mon attention était la boulette de fromage tyrolienne. J'adorerais essayer ça un jour avec une salade si jamais nous revenons à Sulwald. Nous avons également essayé leur thé glacé signature au goût d'herbes. C'était rafraîchissant et correspondait totalement au paysage naturel et à l'ambiance qui nous entouraient. Notre serveur était également merveilleux et sympathique. Elle nous a fait sentir les bienvenus. C'était vraiment une belle journée.

Un joyau caché dans la région. Belle vue sur le Jungfraujoch et un lieu de vue serein et calme. Vous pouvez accéder à ce restaurant de montagne avec le téléphérique Isenfluh/Sulwald qui coûte environ 14 euros l'aller-retour. Manger et boire est un peu cher mais vu que c'est en Suisse et au sommet d'une montagne, c'est tout à fait correct.

Just ordered a couple of drinks from here, after getting the cable car up from Isenfluh. Thought this might be a ‘budget’ way of getting a view of Eiger, Monch & Jungfrau at a quarter of the cost of going up Mannlicken & hiking the Panoramaweg on the other side so we did this first & yes you do get a good view of the mountains but it’s simply not as good as the other side imho. However, It’s fun driving up to Isenfluh through the spiral tunnel & then catching the cable car. The bonus of going up this side is that it is a lot quieter than the other side of the valley, so if you want to get away from it all, this is probably your spot! We were going to hike to the Lobhornhutte but it was a very hot day & we were simply too tired after weeks on the road by this point so opted against it. Would conclude that Sulwald is a nice, relatively peaceful place to just chill for a couple of hours as we decided to do.

This place was an incredible experience for us. On our way up to Lauterbrunnen we were stopped by police becuase of a running race. Instead of turning around we asked them what's up that side road and they said go have a look. Wow, a nice drive up to a small village with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains with nice homes perched on the mountain side overlooking the valleys below. We had a quick coffee at the Cafe there and the guy told us about the small gondola uo to the top of the mountain where we could see where the cows go in the summer time. A few bucks later we were on our way up the mountain. When we got to the top there was a great little eatery at the gondola landing site. We sat there and had a small platter of local cheeses and other bits and pieces while we looked over probably the most beautiful views we had ever seen, with Lauterbrunnen well below us. After a quick eat we walked around the farm lands along some tracks to open uo the views ever further. The pictures I have attached are lovely and provide great memories for us, but they, by no means account for the grand vistas and awe you will feel when walking around up here. After later visiting the busy Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, we decided our trip up this mountain was the highlight of our time in Switzerland. Do yourself a big favour and poke your nose up this road and keep following it until you see what I mean!

We had the great luck to go there on a stunning (sunny and clear) working day. Meaning we were almost alone and we had no problems to sit on the terrace. I’ve been there other times and it was very crowded and impossible to sit outside. We ordered a classic fondue with potatoes, and it was perfect: taste and quantity. Being there, with that view, being hungry and taking a fondue and a beer was just amazing. Also the waitress was extremely kind. The capuccino and cake were also great. I totally recommend this place, but in high season, better to book in advance.
