The ice cream production has fluctuated for the past 18 years we've known about it. Our employee Renate is consistently friendly, proactive, solution-oriented, and tries hard to smooth over the numerous and recurring mistakes made by everyone else in production and logistics. She wasn't always successful, however. The price and the packaging/graphics are acceptable. The quality used to be better. Weaknesses in labeling, communication, and distribution are glaring and have accumulated over the years! Most recently, the products were made by a rather unprofessional, choleric chef, and the labeling (fat content) was incorrect; there was too little cream. Three times in a row, we received deliveries from a dilapidated logistics company (Thurtrans) using an old 28-ton truck without a refrigerated compartment. The driver didn't seem to know the meaning of "cold chain" and usually transported vegetables. We were told that the refrigeration unit behind the plastic curtain was broken each time. Returning the products and getting a refund for our damages was always a major hassle. We generally like to support charitable foundations, but we couldn't imagine working with them again. In 2025, the products arrived new, hygienically packaged, and with a consistent fill level, which earns them an extra star. The deliveries, which maintained the cold chain, were a positive aspect, earning them almost another star. Unfortunately, not all deliveries arrived at the warehouse address; sometimes they were delivered directly to my private garden, and our noise restrictions (no running refrigeration units during midday in the sensitive residential area) couldn't always be met.
