settembre 2025/ Piccolo ma efficace. La reception dell'hotel può contattare l'uomo che può aiutare se necessario, esce dalla porta tra il parrucchiere e la lavanderia. Ho aggiunto alcune foto delle macchine che ho scansionato con Translate, spero che sia d'aiuto. Prendi una bevanda locale e aspetta rispettosamente sulle panchine all'esterno, divertiti e guarda il mondo che passa.

Non è una cosa enorme quindi limitarsi a calzini, biancheria intima e magliette, il necessario. Metti dentro i tuoi vestiti e chiudi la porta. Premi 1 quindi metti la moneta nella fessura in alto! Gira il quadrante sulla lavatrice e scegli un'ora. È abbastanza! Torna in tempo. Quindi sposta i vestiti nell'asciugatrice e premi il pulsante per 2, metti nuovamente la moneta nella fessura superiore e scegli "denim" per l'impostazione di calore più alta e più lunga. Come è già stato detto in altre recensioni, gli essiccatori non sono eccezionali. Dopo molto tempo i vestiti erano ancora umidi. Ho cambiato gli ultimi 30 minuti con l'impostazione più calda (denim) e questo ha fatto asciugare l'ultimo. Meglio che completamente bagnato, ma considerando che per asciugarlo effettivamente abbiamo escluso un essiccatore, è deludente. Le lavatrici funzionavano bene. Un avvertimento: se il signore anziano che si occupa della lavanderia è in giro quando usi la lavanderia, aspettati di essere trattato in modo scortese. Se sei in ritardo anche di qualche minuto per togliere i vestiti dalla lavatrice o dall'asciugatrice, ti viene sgridato e lui ronza in giro ricontrollando tutto ciò che fai. Ho avviato l'asciugatrice e mi ha detto di tornare dopo 1 ora per controllarla anche se è impostata per 2 ore. Servizio clienti estremamente scadente. Trattato come se fossi un fastidio piuttosto che un cliente pagante. Non lo userei più a meno che non sia assolutamente necessario.

This is a coin laundry facility provided for public use by Hotel Silberhorn. You can find a sign to “Laundry” next to the hair salon. Many other google reviews mentioned the dryers here are “ventless” and therefore aren’t very effective. I saw those reviews so didn’t even try to use the dryers. (Hanging clothes in my hotel room overnight was sufficient to get them all dry.) The washers are perfectly functional. I bought a laundry detergent pod for 1 franc from the reception of Hotel Silberhorn, then paid 5 francs for a 40C washer cycle, which finished in 1h20m or so. A hotel staff instructed me to put the laundry detergent pod in first, before putting my clothes in, saying that this prevents the pod from getting caught in the gap. Be careful and return to the laundry room in time when your laundry is about to finish. This is (1) to be respectful of others waiting and (2) to make sure you can open the door before the electricity cuts off because your $$ runs out. The laundry service is scarce in a touristy place like this, and therefore I had to wait around the laundry room for about an hour for a washer to become available.

It’s not great, but if you need your clothes washed in Wengen it gets the job done. My pro tips: 1. You need CHF. The front desk can break CHF bills for the 5 CHF coins you need. 2. The dryers are not good. Plan to dry some clothes in your room. 3. The boxes that accept your 5 CHF coins are time based. To help with the dryers you can run an extra spin cycle when you’re done washing. It will save you time drying. Schleudern/Abpumpen on the machine. 4. Grab a beer and snack from Coop. It all takes a while.

DON'T WASTE YOUR FRANCS & TIME! Plan ahead & go elsewhere. There are no refunds & no signs to tell you that the washer furthest away from the laundry door DOESN'T WORK & will lock your clothes in the washer. Luckily the receptionist at the Hotel Silberhorn knew the tool to bring to open the washer door. If you're going to wash, focus on washing & don't expect the dryer to work. Dry inside your hotel room.
