We are a family from Ukraine who were forced to leave their home because of the war. When we arrived in Switzerland, in the city of Oberglatt, we were greeted with kindness and respect from the very first day. I would like to sincerely thank the employees of Gemeinde Oberglatt for their help, attention and support. They helped us with housing, documents, health insurance and German language courses. All issues were resolved quickly, and the attitude was very humane. What was especially touching was that we were not perceived as "strangers", but as people who needed help in difficult times. Thanks to this, we were able to feel safe and start building a new life. Thanks to the city of Oberglatt and everyone who works here, special thanks to Elena Fischer. You opened our doors and hearts to us - we will never forget this ❤️🇨🇭🇺🇦
The tax department of the municipality of Oberglatt, at the higher levels, is incompetent and not solution-oriented. I am currently on social services and cannot comment here on Google because I don't know if there will be repercussions, as there are also areas for improvement there.
The Oberglatt municipal administration operates reliably, but there is still room for improvement in digitalization. A modern resident account for central access to online services and an e-tax account are currently lacking. The outdated EGOV Box is not an adequate replacement. There is also a need for improvement regarding billing: only the electricity company currently offers e-invoices; other departments do not. This forces residents to scan invoices for digital filing – an unnecessary effort. Paperless invoices would save time, resources, and costs – for the municipality as well.
