Restaurant 1903 — Auf der Burg 1401c, 3823 Wengen BE, Switzerland

Il cibo qui era eccezionale: una delle migliori paste che abbiamo mangiato a Wengen! La carne era tenerissima e la salsa era ricca e saporita. Anche il risotto e l'hummus erano deliziosi, anche se le porzioni erano enormi. Speriamo sinceramente che possano offrire porzioni più piccole a un prezzo inferiore, perché anche condividendole in quattro era comunque troppo. Nel complesso, l'esperienza è stata fantastica. Se mai dovessi tornare a Wengen, tornerò sicuramente solo per quella pasta! 🍝

Ho provato a mangiare qui alle 16:30. ma il personale amichevole mi ha detto che erano chiusi e che avrebbero riaperto alle 18:00. Dato che il mio hotel era nelle vicinanze, ho deciso di tornare alle 6 e ho chiesto se fosse necessaria la prenotazione. La risposta è stata no. Quando sono tornato alle 18:10, un altro personale si è rifiutato di farmi sedere perché non avevo la prenotazione anche se il ristorante era completamente vuoto. Mi sono sentito sgradito e deluso. Per fortuna è intervenuta una gentile signora che mi ha accompagnato ad un tavolo vicino alla finestra. Ho davvero apprezzato la sua assistenza. A parte l'incidente di cui sopra, il cibo era all'altezza. Il manzo alla Stroganoff era buono come molte recensioni avevano menzionato. Una stella detratta a causa dell'incontro iniziale. PS dall'inizio alla fine del mio pasto c'erano solo due tavoli occupati.

Cibo e atmosfera spettacolari. Entrambi abbiamo mangiato manzo alla Stroganoff e non ha deluso questa notte fresca. Aveva anche una deliziosa insalata con formaggio di capra, noci e fichi con salsa di vinegrette ai frutti di bosco. Mi è piaciuta l'atmosfera calda con abbondanza di legni naturali e toni della terra.

First of all, our waiters were very attentive. The waiter who welcomed us picked us a table with a view that very much was the highlight of our dinner when we decided to just randomly sat on one of the tables. He even handed me a blanket when he saw me put on a sweater which was very thoughtful and attentive. We had a steak and salmon rice. The steak was tender and well cooked. One of our most enjoyable meal in our trip.

This was my rated #1 restaurant during our trip to Switzerland. The beef stroganoff and the tagliatelle with prawns were to die for. The tomato sauce was super creamy and rich. The noodles were all homemade. The beef was so tender it pulled apart with no force. Even the icecream here was some of the best I had. Another perk was that they didn’t charge for tap water. I can’t believe there aren’t more ratings for this place. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Wengen. We walked right in and they asked if we had a reservation. We said no. They found us a table anyway at 8:30pm and there was almost no one in the building. It was super quiet. We sat inside so there wasn’t a good view of the mountains but the food made up for that.

3 in our party and each of us had a different dish and they were all fantastic. The woman who waited on us was amazing throughout the entire dinner. Not only was she fast with her service but she had a good sense of humor and it was like she was a family friend. Highly recommend for dinner if you want really good food and service as well as a view.
