KTIMA FYTIES — Bahnstrasse 79, 8193 Eglisau, Switzerland

In the fall of 2019, I visited Fyties and the BIGLA olive grove with Nicolas KTIMA. Beforehand, I heard many stories about olive trees, olive harvesting, and the subsequent processing. I was then able to participate in the autumn olive harvest together with the Rüegg family and friends. It was a strenuous but also very formative experience. Now I know what it takes to produce excellent olive oil: healthy olive trees and their loving care, as well as a lot of manual labor in the subsequent processing. Combined with years of experience and a sustainable mindset and approach, the result is a high-quality end product that is second to none. Since my time in Greece, I have only purchased olive oil and other products from the Rüegg family because I know exactly where they come from and with what passion they were produced.
