Pretty full cable car in late May but able to see the fantastic views! It was more packed on the Murren side going back down to Lauterbrunnen. We got off at Gimmelwald.
Very crowded, but very scenic. It fakes 3 different cable cars to get to the top of the Shilthorn. It's gorgeous at the top.
We took the Schilthornbahn cable car from Stechelberg in Lauterbrunnen, and the entire journey to Schilthorn was absolutely breathtaking. Traveling with family and kids, this ride turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights of our Switzerland trip. The scenic views throughout the ascent were simply spectacular — towering snow-covered peaks, lush green valleys, and charming mountain villages. It felt like nature was welcoming us with open arms. The cable car ticket cost was around €65 per person, and the experience was worth every euro. There are multiple stops along the way with incredible photo spots and panoramic views that are just perfect for making beautiful memories. If you’re planning a trip to Switzerland, add Schilthorn to your itinerary without a second thought. It’s an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty and adventure.
I believe its the steepest gondola/cable car in the world. Definitely a great way to get elevated views of Lauterbrunnen Valley and the surrounding mountains.
The most incredible and another MUST SEE in Switzerland. The travel takes about 2h by car from Zürich region. Arriving at the base station, you get an impression of what is you waiting for you. The steepest cable car ever with 159% ascending. Even though, that the top of top Schilthorn station was closed for maintenance, we reached the second station just be4 and it was a breathtaking experience. First it was very foggy but as climate changes are fast in the mountains, after 20min waiting, it cleared up. We were able to enjoy an outstanding, fantastic and incredible view on Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau. Wwoowwww!!!! Apart from the unforgettable view, the price is unforgettable too and I think at least 1m square is what I sponsored as well.
Amazing experience. Journey via cable was breathtaking. The scenic view which was welcoming us were just wonderful and eye-catching. Cost of cable car ticket UpTo this point was around 65euro per person. Must include this place whenever you visit Switzerland for sure. There are so many beautiful views on the way to this place, will give you good experience and nice pics as well.
