Este es un lugar realmente único para quedarse. El atractivo de alojarse aquí no es la habitación ni las instalaciones (aunque están muy limpias y más que adecuadas). La razón por la que te quedas aquí es para que puedas tener Grindelwald First esencialmente TODO...
Elegimos quedarnos en el hotel para nuestra escapada de fin de semana (viernes/sábado) y fue la mejor decisión que hemos tomado (2 personas). Aunque solo pude esquiar poco tiempo y el viernes me lesioné la rodilla, lo que cambió todo el plan del sábado, fue muy agradable pasar un rato en los alrededores del hotel y en la terraza mientras mi pareja iba a esquiar. La experiencia de permanecer allí después del cierre de las pistas también es única, al igual que despertarse antes de que lleguen los demás. Todos en el equipo fueron increíblemente amables, alegres y serviciales. Verlos interactuar con la pandilla local de chovas alpinas de manera gentil también dice mucho sobre ellos: fue genial verlos, además los pájaros en sí son bastante divertidos. El servicio de cena fue mucho más de lo que esperábamos y la comida era muy sabrosa: la ensalada me robó el corazón. El desayuno buffet es una manera perfecta de comenzar el día de una manera lenta y cómoda con una variedad de productos para elegir, además el té Sirocco que tienen es absolutamente fantástico. Voy a pedir una caja o dos. Nuestra habitación (8) era acogedora y cálida (1 cama doble + 2 camas individuales). El sonido no parece llegar mucho desde el área del comedor/bar, solo algún ruido esporádico del servicio o mantenimiento cercano, pero se calma mucho antes de las 11 p.m. Los edredones Dawn también son increíblemente cómodos y desearía haber preguntado por la marca porque me encantaría tener uno para mí. Las instalaciones están limpias y bien mantenidas, tanto las dedicadas a los huéspedes del hotel como las públicas. Un área de picnic donde puedes comer tu propia comida es bastante grande e incluso puedes conseguir un lugar al lado del calentador. También hay una sala exclusiva para todo su equipo de esquí y equipaje, y hay algunas taquillas (2 CHF) que puede utilizar para sus objetos de valor. En general, estamos contentos con nuestra estadía y recomendamos probarlo.
Es un día de nieve. Se ve hermoso. El restaurante estaba lleno pero conseguimos un lugar. La comida estaba deliciosa. El gran servicio y la comida llegaron rápidamente. Gente muy agradable. Ve y disfruta 😉
My only regret about visiting this place is that I didn’t realize there was a hotel up here. Staying overnight with these views? That’s the dream. Right after you finish the famous “first walk,” there’s this restaurant waiting for you. And wow—the view is just unreal. You’re sitting right there in the middle of the Swiss Alps, with peaks everywhere you look. I went for the beef stew and it was the perfect choice—super fresh, tender, and just what you want after walking around in the mountain air. And yes, they’ve got beer! Honestly, sitting outside with a drink and that scenery… it’s one of those moments you just don’t forget. If you’re heading up this way, definitely plan to eat here. And maybe look into the hotel option—because trust me, you’re going to want to stay longer.
For an unforgettable lunch in the Alps, Berggasthaus in Grindelwald is exceptional. The food was extraordinary, and the house wine perfectly complemented the meal. Considering the quality and the breathtaking, impeccable mountain view, the price–quality ratio is absolutely worth it. A special thank you to Ruxi, who was incredibly friendly, took time to talk with us, and gave excellent recommendations. Thanks to her, we tried the Swiss cheese fondue — and it was wow, truly superior to anything you can find in town or nearby. The entire staff was very kind and always available, making our lunch a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended.
We didnot stayed at hotel we just had lunch here, and our dear Lara arranged a lovely table for us despite the crowd – a very elegant table in the corner – and helped us choose our food. We had the Bio Angus Burger and Tranchierte Pouletbrust, both were delicious, thanks to Lara and her kindness she was very helpful and would also like to give a special thank you to Julian; his hospitality, his smiling face, and his love for Turks made us very happy.
