📍 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐮̈𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 🇨🇭🏰 Fondato originariamente come priorato cluniacense intorno al 1080, Münchenwiler fu trasformato in residenza nobiliare dopo la Riforma e ricostruito nel XVII secolo. Unendo origini medievali con eleganza barocca, è servito come maniero, collegio e oggi - un tranquillo hotel e luogo di seminario circondato da giardini e alberi secolari.

Bella posizione fuori. Ma mi aspettavo più autenticità da un castello all'interno. Sono rimasto deluso dal fatto che le camere non si trovino nel castello, ma in un altro edificio moderno. La mia camera era minuscola così come il bagno. Così piccolo che le mie ginocchia toccano il muro quando sono seduto sul "trono". (Sono una persona alta). Ehi, ma la mia cena è stata eccellente e anche la colazione.

This is a beautifully restored and enhanced old "castle" with a lot of charm. The property and setting are stunning and the food served here is quite good. The big letdown is with the hotel rooms. The place's monastery past comes through …
Nice surroundings with a well maintained castle. It is located quite far from the main attractions in Murten old town (30 min walk) and you need a car. The guest house has very small rooms hence ok-ish for one night. Not more. The breakfast is simple and also ok.
