We booked a cheese dairy tour with Christian and Lydia and received so much great information. We even got to try our hand at making cheese. We adults and our children really enjoyed it. And the goat cheese tastes delicious. THANK YOU!
We first met Christian from Geissenparadies (Goat Paradise) as a taxi driver, as he also runs the Alpentaxi, which takes you, for example, from Göschenen train station to the reservoir. The ride was comfortable and, thanks to Christian's humor and his knowledge of goat farming and the region, very entertaining. Later, we bought cheese and sausage in the farm shop – both were delicious!
Sure, goat cheese is much more expensive than cow cheese, but considering that goat cheese is essentially a byproduct, it costs a lot. But for me, as a cheese lover, this is the very first place I've been able to buy goat cheese; I haven't had anything like it at other goat alps. And it tastes truly sensational (one star deducted for the truly high price for a byproduct).
Here you can buy the best goat cheese! There are also other fine foods. For product information, see the website.
A very innovative farm with goats in the mountains. A great, diverse selection in the farm shop.
The best goat's milk cheese. Absolutely delicious, the crème de la crème. Dr. Franz
