Amazing food and service - from the starter through to dessert, everything is made in the kitchen (except perhaps the wine ;)). Hospitable host who was very welcoming. We ate both the fish and steak and the quality of the dishes was outstanding.
A beautiful discovery, located near the Lake, the restaurant offers two different types of atmosphere. One more casual, one more business-gastronomic. The menu offers plenty of fishes options, but meat is also served.

I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Ilge and enjoyed every minute in this well-appointed and welcoming place. The meal was excellent. I ordered the filets de perche meunière and rognons de veau, both prepared with care and wonderful balance. The white wine served as an apéritif complemented the dishes perfectly. The owner was friendly and made me feel welcome from the start. The chef cooks with visible passion, reflected in the beautifully arranged vegetables and the precise execution of each dish. Everything was delicious and truly memorable. I can recommend this restaurant for any occasion. After the meal, it is worth taking a stroll through the charming town of Twann or sitting by the lake, which at this time of year is peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant is easy to reach by train from Bern or many other places, and in summer the boat service is a pleasant alternative.
