Amazing hotel!! I’ve stayed here with a group of students during summer. The location is unbeatable, with beautiful views over the Alps and a swimming pound. Owners are very helpful and kind, food is delicious and the rooms are spotless. Will definitely come back!
The people were so nice and welcoming of my group. The food for dinner was absolutely delicious. Amazing views, amazing location, and the lake was super refreshing to go swimming in. The beds are super comfortable. Loved this place so much would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I have to say, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the issues started piling up. The front desk staff were incredibly unprofessional and seemed completely uninterested in helping guests. I was greeted with a cold stare and a barely audible “check-in” without even being asked for my ID or reservation details—felt more like an inconvenience than a welcome. When I finally got my room key, I was led down a dimly lit hallway, which gave me a bad feeling from the start. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed a musty odor that permeated the air. The carpet was stained in multiple places, and there were visible patches of mold along the bathroom ceiling. The sheets on the bed looked like they hadn’t been changed in days, with a few suspicious stains that made me question the cleanliness of the entire room. To top it off, there was an obnoxious buzzing sound coming from the air conditioner that kept me up all night, and no matter how much I tried to adjust it, the temperature remained either too hot or too cold. The bathroom was no better—there was no hot water in the shower, and the towels were thin and rough, almost like sandpaper. I tried calling the front desk multiple times for help, but each time I was met with either a busy signal or no answer at all. The Wi-Fi, which was advertised as high-speed, was so slow that it was practically unusable, making it impossible to get any work done. I also noticed several long-term stains in the elevator, which hadn’t been cleaned in weeks—if ever. As if all of that weren’t enough, when I tried to check out, the same rude staff member who had checked me in charged me an additional “cleaning fee” for a room that, frankly, didn’t even meet the bare minimum standards of hygiene. Overall, this hotel was a complete disaster, and I would not recommend it to anyone, not even as a last resort. I would have left early if I hadn’t already paid in advance, but I couldn’t imagine another night in that dreadful place. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This was not only disappointing, it was unacceptable.
I honestly don’t even know where to begin, because this stay was a disaster from the moment we arrived. I had booked this hotel based on the photos and decent location, but don’t be fooled—the pictures are either incredibly outdated or intentionally misleading. When we checked in, the front desk staff barely acknowledged us. There was no greeting, no smile—just a rushed check-in process that made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by simply showing up. It set the tone for the entire stay. Customer service was practically nonexistent, and any time we tried to ask a question or needed assistance, the staff acted annoyed or just flat-out ignored us. Once we got to the room, things went from bad to worse. The carpet was stained in multiple places, the furniture looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or replaced in years, and there was a strong musty smell that hit us the moment we opened the door. We tried to open the window to air it out, only to find that it was either jammed shut or sealed permanently. The air conditioning barely worked, and when it did, it made a loud clunking noise every ten minutes, making it impossible to sleep. The bed linens were questionable at best. One of the pillowcases had what looked like a makeup stain on it, and there were small hairs on the supposedly “clean” sheets. The mattress felt like sleeping on a worn-out trampoline—uneven, lumpy, and uncomfortable. We asked housekeeping to change the sheets the next morning, but they never came. When we asked the front desk again later that day, they promised someone would be up “shortly.” Nobody ever showed. The bathroom was another nightmare. Mold in the corners of the shower, weak water pressure, and the towels were thin, grayish, and smelled like chlorine. The toilet would randomly run every few minutes, and there were mysterious brownish marks on the tile grout that made me seriously question their cleaning standards. The hotel also advertised complimentary toiletries, but all we got was a nearly empty shampoo bottle and a bar of soap that looked like it had been reused. Noise was another huge issue. We could hear everything—people talking in the hallway, doors slamming at all hours, and even someone snoring in the room next to ours. The walls are paper-thin. If you're hoping for a restful night, forget it. We barely slept. The so-called “amenities” were laughable. The gym was a tiny, windowless room with one broken treadmill and some outdated weights. The pool was closed “for maintenance” (which I now see mentioned in other reviews, so clearly it’s been “under maintenance” for a long time). The included breakfast was basically toast, instant coffee, and a few sad-looking apples. We ended up going elsewhere to eat every morning. Overall, this hotel was a complete disappointment. I would have left and stayed somewhere else if I hadn’t prepaid. It’s honestly shocking how poorly maintained and unprofessional this place is, especially for the price. Save yourself the stress and book literally anywhere else. This was a waste of time, money, and patience.
My partner and I have just returned from a week skiing holiday staying at hotel Twing and we couldn’t have had a better stay. The owners were so lovely and went above and beyond not only to make us feel welcome but help with difficulties …
My experience here was amazing! The Owners are very nice and attentive, and the location makes this hotel amazing. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Will most definitely be coming back!
