Terrible attitude, denied us service. We stood at the register for 10 minutes and they knew that because the blonde lady made eye contact with me. Very rude, both of them. Disgusting behavior, do better.

My husband and I were met with very poor service due to the rude attitude of one of the staff when we visited early in the afternoon of Christmas Eve. She was an older woman with short blonde hair. We really enjoyed our day in Mürren and stopped by this shop looking to wind down and eat after a long day of walking around. As we were looking through the menu, the lady came by and asked if we were ready to order. My husband asked out of curiosity if they offered fondue (I can understand if this is an annoying question to be asked by tourists, but we didn’t think it’d cause as much trouble as it did). From there, the experience went downhill instantaneously. The lady grabbed the menu from his hand and condescendingly asked to point out where the menu shows fondue. She continued to go “if you walk up to the front where our pastries are, will you find fondue?” “Maybe if you ask me if we have spaghetti, I’ll look through the menu with you and find that there isn’t spaghetti”. (We were very confused about this spaghetti comment). She then proceeds to say “I think you guys need another minute”. We were caught so off guard by her behavior which ruined our appetite. We ended up leaving. Mürren is such a nice town, I would advise not ruining your experience by coming here as long as this lady is working. I can’t speak on behalf of the rest of the staff. It’s unfortunate because the place does appear cozy and the pastries did look appetizing, but we didn’t want to stay after being made so uncomfortable by her comments.

Great coffee, good food (especially the focaccia bread with tomatoes and pesto sauce), but most importantly - great service. We went in October 2024. The two ladies serving us were super warm and friendly. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

We ordered coffee Latte, but they gave us cappuccino and charged more, I tried to said to the boss, but her attitude was very terrible, she said to us that they were so busy maybe understood wrong but we still need to pay for it. Even I keep saying I want to order coffee Latte, but she said we need to pay again for new order. I don’t know why I need to pay for their mistake. The most terrible thing is her attitude, she doesn’t want to admit they did something wrong. What is that kind of attitude, what is this boss for foreigners . I don’t think it worth to visit. Don’t go to this kind of restaurant!!!

Decent gift shop with the normal assortment of trinkets. I was a little disappointed to not find as many Schilthorn-specific trinkets, though, as this is at the base of that excursion. Didn't utilize the cafe/bar portion of the shop so can't comment on that. Staff behind the counter seemed friendly and professional.
