A year ago, we filled out the application for private insurance for our one-year-old son. My husband took it to work and forgot to send it in. Then our son had a fall and was hospitalized. This shock reminded my husband to sign the application and send the scan. With all the stress of going to the hospital, work, and looking after the other children, he forgot to add information about the recent fall. As a result, we were branded as fraudsters, and our son didn't get private insurance. Even now, a year later, when we tried to submit the correct application, we're still branded as fraudsters, and they're denying a perfectly healthy two-year-old the right to private insurance, even though it's not the parents' fault. We are honest, hardworking parents. We have clean criminal records and have never done anything wrong! This insinuation that we are doing this intentionally is outrageous!
This health insurance company is attempting to prevent disabled people from obtaining insurance coverage through clever delaying tactics. The case is constantly passed from one part-time employee to the next, in the hope that the applicant will become weary and give up.
This health insurance company comes highly recommended. They have always been immediately reachable by phone – without any waiting time! The staff take their time, are friendly, and cheerful. Emails are answered quickly. The entire administrative process is very customer-friendly thanks to Sumiswalder's digital solutions. It's rare these days to find such a customer-oriented company. Thank you to everyone involved!
One of the worst insurance companies I've ever had. Rude and unprofessional. I cannot recommend this health insurance company to anyone!
My husband and I have been insured with Sumiswalder for a few years now. A solid health insurance company that processes benefits quickly. Friendly service and advice are provided. We usually post on the customer portal. The response is prompt and reliable. If you always pay and don't receive reminders, you're respected; this applies to all health insurance companies. But we are completely satisfied. Unfortunately, I was simply disappointed, but that's not the company's fault; my medical examiner didn't approve me for rehabilitation. I had major surgery in February 2025, and the recovery will take up to eight weeks. It's not an easy situation, because the healing process now takes longer. They should be more accommodating. I was also denied rehabilitation for my major surgery last year. It's a shame when you've always paid on time for years and never received a reminder. That's how the common man is branded. But it affects all health insurance companies.
Customer-unfriendly solutions, unnecessary threats regarding late payment fees that are only supposedly canceled upon inquiry, debt collection proceedings, and excuses that one can't change one's own customer-unfriendly behavior. After this experience, I cannot recommend Sumiswalder Health Insurance. My cancellation notice will be sent out this week, and the company can thank Mr. Fabian Maurer for the loss of trust, as one more customer doesn't seem to matter much to them.
