I have been doing business with Mettler-Toledo since 2018 (maintenance of scales). The customer service and technicians are good and friendly. However, there are significant administrative problems. This year, for example, the maintenance of individual devices (part of a maintenance contract) was forgotten. Furthermore, there have been several instances of incorrect devices being billed, or maintenance contracts for decommissioned devices not being canceled despite notification. In addition, the prices of the maintenance contracts increase by approximately 5-10% annually without any proactive notification or explanation. In conclusion: The contracts, invoices, and certificates must be regularly checked and reconciled to identify these discrepancies. This entails a considerable amount of work, especially since the scales on the invoices must be identified by their serial numbers. Since 2022, there has been a portal where location notes for each device can be stored. This facilitates device tracking, as these notes are also visible on invoices and contracts.
I was there from June 9th to June 28th, 1996, for training in after-sales service for electronic scales. The trainer was Mr. Moritzio Catenazi. The welcome was very warm. The working conditions were impeccable. I was accommodated in Ruiti, specifically at the Hotel Laufenbach.
